Editorial Policy and Standards
Last updated: May 12, 2026
Emofeed is an independent digital publication dedicated to original, long-form narrative nonfiction. The trust of our readers is the only currency that matters to us. This page describes how we work.
Originality
Every article on Emofeed is written from scratch by our editorial team. We do not republish, syndicate, scrape, or rewrite content from other publications. When we cover events that have been reported elsewhere, we conduct our own interviews and our own research.
Research and Sources
For each story, we make a good-faith effort to:
- Interview the people directly involved, when possible and ethical.
- Verify central facts with at least two independent sources or, where available, primary documents.
- Consult relevant experts (medical, legal, historical) when a story requires specialized knowledge.
- Cite or describe the source of any statistic, quote, or claim that is not common knowledge.
Privacy and Subject Protection
Many of the stories on Emofeed concern private individuals going through emotionally difficult moments — illness, grief, reunion, adoption, betrayal, and loss. We are committed to handling these stories with care.
- We obtain consent from subjects before publishing their stories whenever practical.
- When subjects request it, we change names and identifying details to protect privacy.
- We do not publish material that we believe would cause foreseeable harm to the subject of a story.
- We respect requests to withdraw or anonymize content when those requests come from the subject of the story.
Headlines
Our headlines are designed to convey what the article is about and to make readers want to read it. We use long, specific headlines because we believe specificity is more honest than vagueness. However:
- If a headline promises a twist, the article delivers it.
- We do not write headlines that are factually inaccurate.
- We do not use headlines designed to mislead or manipulate.
Use of AI and Automation
Emofeed is written by human editors. We do not publish articles that are entirely generated by artificial intelligence. We may use AI tools to assist with research, fact-checking, headline testing, and copy editing, but the substantive writing and judgment in every article is the work of a human writer.
Corrections
We take corrections seriously. If we publish a factual error, we correct it as soon as it is brought to our attention. Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected article. We do not silently edit published work to alter the meaning of a story after the fact.
To report an error, please email info@blissom.app with the article URL and a description of the error.
Independence and Funding
Emofeed is funded primarily through display advertising. Our editorial decisions are made independently of our advertisers. No advertiser sees, reviews, or has any influence over our articles before publication.
Sponsored Content
Emofeed does not currently publish sponsored articles, advertorials, or affiliate-driven content. If that ever changes, any such content will be clearly and prominently labeled as paid or sponsored.
Reader Submissions
We welcome story tips from readers. We do not pay for tips. We do not guarantee that any tip will result in a published article. When we pursue a tip, we conduct our own independent research and verification. Tips can be submitted to info@blissom.app.
